For railroad-served industries that require cars be moved during loading the Trackmobile is an essential piece of equipment. Used since the 1970s, usually in place of a company-owned locomotive, these versatile rubber-tired switchers operate on rails to move freight cars and on streets as needed. They're found at grain elevators, small ethanol plants, refineries, railroad shops, steel mills and other large industries.

Model features include die cast construction for heavy weight and traction, many separately applied details, premium paint and lettering, full cab detail with driver figure, premium motor with superior low-torque gearing for precision switching and scale operating #58 Kadee coupler on rear.
