Grain and ethanol traffic touch almost every corner of the North American rail network - from the vast cornfields and wheat fields of the midwest to busy petroleum terminals, feed mills and export elevators in large cities. Long trains of covered hoppers moving grain and ethanol byproducts such as DDG have become an important part of the railroad landscape. It should touch your post-1970s model railroad too!
 
While designed as a vital addition to an ethanol plant, with the addition of your own hopper car loading chutes (available separately), the tall concrete silos and elevators in this kit can also be used as a stand-alone trackside grain elevator or as a modern addition to a larger grain handling facility. The kit includes side-by-side concrete silos and a grain elevator leg and conveyor. As shown, the Corn Storage Silos and Elevators kit measures 9-1/2 x 5-1/2 x 15-1/2" 24.1 x 14 x 39.4cm. Use the Corn Storage Silos and Elevators kit with other Cornerstone industrial buildings.
