As many of you know, it is standard for suppliers to ask customers for a deposit for product pre-orders. Because the lead times can be so long these days, I've decided that The Train Exchange won't charge a deposit. This is why the pricing on pre-orders on the website shows as $0.00. The product price is noted in the product description as well as the MSRP line which appears crossed out. Place your order at $0.00 and then payment can be processed when your order arrives in-store.  

A decision to make regarding pre-orders is whether to order DC or DCC. Many of us have specific preferences about the sound systems that we like to have in our locomotives. As an option, I order many locomotives for stock as DC models so you can chose what DCC brand to install. I also have customers pre-order a DC model so they can install a different brand of decoder than the one that it comes with from the factory.  

When you pre-order your model at The Train Exchange I will install the decoder brand of your choice when the model arrives for just the cost of the parts. The Train Exchange is a distributor of the major decoder brands such as ESU, Soundtrax, TCS and Digitrax.
